After my visit to Paestum, I drove south to a small mountain village, Laureana Cilento. It is a very picturesque little village, high up on a mountain, with narrow alleys, several churches and one hotel. Expedia had made it sound like the hotel was close to Paestum, which it is not. But visiting this picturesque village was worth the drive. The hotel was small but nice, with a picturesque interior. It used to house an olive oil press.
