The main story of this 'issue' is from Tapio. If we have time, we may bring you some technicalities etc. on the coming days. Who knows.
Later I discussed with him. I found out that he reads two newspapers daily and the big one on Sundays. He seldom watches television. The big one had nothing about gliding on Sunday, but a large story with pictures both on Saturday and Monday. The simple opening ceremonies was no news for them. The two smaller newspapers the guy reads are probably the only ones in Finland, who do not recognize this competition. Also one of our two web-servers did have technical difficulties, but the second one is working fine all the time.
The good media coverage (in my opinion) has brought us even spectators. During the launches and finishes there are many curious people, who want to find out what's this sports about. If only we had a good English and Finnish speaking speaker on site, I would be very satisfied. But it does not mean that everybody is.
The Tuesday's tasks seem to be ideal once again. The sea breeze in the West came further than expected, but luckily did not cause much harm to anybody. On the other hand the spreading clouds in the East stayed mainly outside the task area. I must have a careful eye on the task setters and metmen. They may become proud after the repetitive successes.
