Balkans - Lots of History

In June 2002 I visit the Balkans for the first time with a short visit to România.

In March/April 2022 I visited Ελλας (Greece) for 3 weeks. The tour was organized by Greece Private Tours. It was originally planned for 2020, but had to be postponed. They conducted the tour as planned for only little extra cost due to increasing hotel costs. The organization of the tour worked very well, everything was great. I can really recommend this tour organizer.

From Greece I flew to Croatia for my Balkans tour. In April/May 2022 I made a 4-week tour of the Balkans. The tour was organized by Zagreb Tours. It was originally planned for April 2020 but had to be postponed. They conducted the tour without extra cost in 2022. The organization was outstanding. I had two guides, each driving me for about half of the tour. Everything worked like clockwork. During the tour I wanted to put more emphasis on bird watching than originally planned. Both guides went out of their way to research bird watching sites during the tour and added visits to many bird watching sites. I can really recommend this tour organizer.

I visited Shqipëri (Albania), Bosna i Hercegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), България (Bulgaria), Hrvatska (Croatia), Црна Гора, Crna Gora (Montenegro), Македонија (North Macedonia), Србија (Serbia), and Slovenija (Slovenia).
